Tony’s appointment comes as Volvo Bus Australia makes the decision to restructure their sales team and base a Sales Manager in Queensland. As part of the role, Tony will also take on the Northern Territory in an attempt to strengthen Volvo’s presence in the state. This means that industry veteran; Ray Andrich, will take control of all sales in New South Wales.
“Tony Browne has a strong blend of experience in Sales, Service and Application Engineering. Experience in these fields allows a balanced and informed approach to customer requirements and in-field challenges”, says Sean Copeland, General Manager, Volvo Bus Australia.
Although new to the bus industry, Tony is not new to the “Volvo Way”. Tony’s previous role was at Volvo Trucks where he has spent the last 14 years as a Sales Engineer. In this role, Tony was responsible for providing sales support to dealers, sales staff, fleet operators and body builders throughout Australia and New Zealand.
Tony has also spent over 10 years as a State Sales Manager and time as a State Service Manager in various companies.
“I am very excited for the opportunity to move into the Bus division and look forward to working with our dynamic team. I will continue the excellent work already done in QLD and NT by my colleagues and look forward to meeting the ‘extended Volvo family’ of customers”, says Tony.
